It is wonderful to welcome the local principals and their representatives today.  We are really pleased we can assist them with a donation but also look forward to learning more about the work they do with their students.

 Asim was very informative last week when he explained different aspects of the website.  Remember if you haven't yet logged on into Clubrunner see David about getting a log on. You can then check your personal information to ensure Rotary International has the correct details.  We use Clubrunner to create the Bulletin and District use it as its major communication tool.  With Pam away this week I have been learning how to use the Bulletin function.  I needed a call or two to David to help me.  Thank goodness we have such tech savvy people in the Club!

It has been a bit more restful with the FunRun over although thank you letters etc are being finalised.  The Facebook page also has photos up there so have a look and of course Like them.  It was fantastic to be on the front page of the Northern District Times.  Big thanks to Steven Deare the journalist who organised it and the photographer from the paper who attended the event.  My next task is to try and upload it to this Bulletin.  You will see if I am successful when I send it out.

 

We still need to review the event. If you have suggestions about how the planning and delivery of the event it could be improved please email David or me with your thoughts.  We have a few comments already - thank you very much.  Each year we have seen different aspects of the FunRun where we can improve and we will be taking to Macquarie University this week to secure a date for next year.

 

Planning for the carols on Sunday 18 December has started. The meeting schedule is as follows:
21 September
19 October
16 November
30 November.

If you would like to join the committee please let me know.  Meetings are 7:30pm at 14 Agincourt Rd Marsfield.  This is one of our major events and I would love to see everyone involved on the day but also beforehand if possible.

As we like to support other Rotary Clubs I thought I'd let you know that Macquarie Park Rotary has a Trivia Night on Saturday 24 September at Club Ryde.  $20 per head. Tickets through Roseanna Gallo on 0418629410.  Proceeds will support North Ryde Community Aid and The Hub.
