The Christmas party was great. Big thanks to Terrie and Mark for their hospitality. It was relaxed with plenty of opportunity to talk to everyone. How lovely it was to have Annette join us. No kisses and cuddles (to avoid infection) but great to see her looking so well. It was also good to see Tom walking so well after his knee replacements. I think he intends to tackle the Fun Run next year! Mike and Maggie also came and we were able to catch up with them and what they have been doing and plan for next year. They are certainly not idle.
This week we have the BBQ at Cox's Rd from about 8:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday 17 December. We will be presenting the Tree of Joy gifts about 12:30 I think. Pat has already given 12 bags away. Once again the North Ryde community has been very generous. Ray White Real Estate will join us - they are raffling two bikes. They will also be selling tickets at the Carols with all the proceeds coming to Rotary. This is a great partnership with our Club.
The carols are on Sunday 18th. If you have not registered as a volunteer it would be good if you could do so ASAP. I will contact everyone to see what sort of input we are having. This is one of our biggest fund raisers for the year.
After the carols we will all have a very deserved break with our first meeting on 13 January at Seb's cafe on Cox's Rd.
Thank you to all our members for your friendship and Rotary fellowship throughout the year. I am looking forward to a great 2017. Have a lovely time over the Christmas season, enjoy time with family and friends and come back refreshed and ready for an exciting 12 months starting with our golf day on 3 March 2017.
