No guest speaker, last Friday, but a good meeting. It was particularly good to hear Pam’s report from PETS (Presidents Elect Training Scheme). I think all of us, including the old hands, learnt something. If you want to help Pam to get off to a good start as incoming President, why not join her at District Assembly on 29th April. You don’t need to be a member of next year’s Board – you can cover for a Board member who is unable to attend. It’s a great way to learn more about Rotary.
We also considered a request to support a MUNA team, and agreed to do so. MUNA stands for Model United Nations Assembly, and school teams have to represent various nations, which requires considerable preparation. Those members who have attended have been impressed by what these high school students make of it. You might like to attend if you’ve never done so.
Our social get-together is coming up on 28th April. Unfortunately that day doesn’t work for me, but I’m confident it will be good. There’s more about this elsewhere in the bulletin, I’m sure.
