On Monday 22 September, Past President Rob Wilkinson, gave a presentation to the Rotary Club of Epping about ROMAC. Past President of Epping Rotary, Bruce Jacob sent this summary to share with you.

Rob is a very special person and gave a wonderful presentation on ROMAC last Monday night. Rob has been a very active North Ryde Rotarian since 1992, President 3 times, countless other roles, Chair and driving force behind the Ryde Sports Foundation, Director at North Ryde RSL Club, RDA key supporter and most noteably the driving force behind ROMAC for 25 years.

Rob stitched together a series of video clips which vividly illustrated the incredible and life changing operations that the ROMAC team perform in Australia and NZ on the disadvantaged children from the Pacific region.
ROMAC is arguably the most iconic of all Rotary projects ; recently our Club gave $3,000 to ROMAC and it’s on the agenda for the next Board meeting.

Pam Wood and Garry Maloney also from the North Ryde Club attended. Both are very dedicated Rotarians with Pam Operations Manager for ROMAC in Australia.
John Corney, a long standing supporter of ROMAC, gave the vote of thanks and tree certificate ( the idea of which originated with the NR Club).
Thanks Ian for your help with the technology and Peter, Louise and Susie for helping set up the hall.

We were treated to a 3 course meal, two of which were prepared by Di. As the photo shows, these were very good.
Thanks Di and best wishes with your trip to the US to see your family. Say hi to “ The Donald “.
