Dear Fellow Club Members and Friends,

Our first F2F (face to face) District Presidents meeting and Presentation of District Awards for high fund-raisers were on last Saturday at the Pennant Hills Golf Club.

What a great fellowship time! We met the new Rotary Foundation chair - David Dean and thanksed Bruce Lakin for his year of leading.

Each club received a copy of the book “Humanity In Action” - Celebrating 100 years of Rotary Clubs in Australia and its near island neighbours. There are lots of memorable photos. We can each read a charter and share with other members. Our club charter date was listed.

On 29 May Saturday from 9:30am will be our next social picnic/bunch at Dee Why Beach. See you all F2F in a relaxing beach setting then.

Our Changeover celebration dinner is coming on 25 June Friday night.
Please RSVP to northryderotary@gmail.com with any dietary requirements and payment record.
Hope you can join us.

Pearl Beach Ephemeral Art
Looking for something to do on the June long weekend.

The Pearl Beach Arboretum (Crommelin Native Arboretum) is holding its first Ephemeral Art Trail (PBEAT) over three weeks in June 2021. It will be open to the public from Friday 11 June until the end of the first week of the public school holidays, Sunday 4 July 2021.

There will be 16 ephemeral artworks by artists or groups of artists and five community installations on display which are inspired by the Arboretum site and which our special relationship with the Australian bush. Information from volunteers and activities for children will be available on weekends. PBEAT also aims to support community identity and increase cultural vibrancy. Creating the unexpected is a key objective.

A donation of $5 per adult is requested from visiting adults to go towards the environmental education objectives of the Arboretum. There is a $500 cash prize arising from “People’s Choice” voting.

For more information please email PBeat@pearlbeacharboretum.org.au or  go to https://www.pearlbeacharboretum.org.au/ephemeral-art-trail-2021/
