Welcome back and wishing you all best wishes for 2025. I hope you all were able to enjoy the Christmas and New Year celebrations with your family and friends and are well rested and rearing to go for this year.
Just recently our R
YLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) candidate Erika Yazmin Otero completed the RYLA course over the past week and we look forward to hearing about her experience at RYLA soon. Thank you to Mandy Van, Bernie and Peter Mason who helped support Erika during the week.

Our first Bunnings BBQ for 2025 was held on Saturday 18 January at the Gladesville store. It was a slow day because of the weather, but we still managed to raise over $1800 which will go towards our Rotary projects for this year. Something which may have also had an impact on our result was the fact that Victoria Road, between Monash and Tennyson Roads Gladesville, just up the road from Bunnings, was closed all day due to power lines being down.
I would like to thank the wonderful team from our club for their continued support and enthusiasm on the day. In particular, I would to thank those that were there for the whole day, from the start at 7am to the clean up and returning items to Kennards at 5pm. This includes Rob, Mandy, Peter, Pam, Binoe and Johanna (Binoe's daughter). We also had wonderful support at different times during the day from Brian, Bernie, Queenie and Seb Lentini. Thank you to all for who volunteered their time and effort on the day. Our next Bunnings BBQ will be on Saturday 1 March at Bunnings Gladesville, if you would like to join the team, please contact me by email garry.maloney@hotmail.com or mobile 0426230458.
