Planning is well underway for the 2018 North Ryde Fun Run for Youth Mental Health. The next meeting of the Club Fun Run committee will be next Tuesday evening 3 July at 93 Park Rd Hunters Hill commencing 7.30p.m. All interested Club members are welcome to attend. We are very fortunate to have some of our 2017 Sponsors onboard again this year. Vision Personal Training are providing the corporate prize again this year; Macquarie University Village has committed to Silver sponsorship; Bendigo Bank will once again be a Bronze sponsor and Ray White North Ryde Macquarie Park will give Community sponsorship of $250. Event Cinemas, The Ranch Hotel and Konica Minolta have agreed to sponsor again as well. We also have some new sponsors this year with Telstra Store Macquarie Centre donating a Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro as a prize; the Athletes Foot has given 10 New Balance backpacks as prizes and Officeworks North Ryde is donating a $100 gift voucher. We greatly appreciate the support of all our sponsors and look forward to a very successful event for the community. Our goal is to raise $10000 for Youth Mental Health. Two free Seminars on Youth Mental Health have been organised by the Centre for Emotional Health prior to the Fun Run. The first seminar will be held on Tuesday 24 July the topic will be Responding to Eating Disorder see here to register. The second seminar will be held on W ednesday 22 August with the topic on Nature and Treatment of Adolescent Depression, see here to register. Many of our local schools have agreed to send out the flyers to their communities in their bulletins and we will begin a letterbox drop when schools return from school holidays. The 2018 North Ryde Fun Run will be held on Sunday 26 August at Macquarie University Sports Fields.We have added a new event - A Pram Push.
