Our North Ryde Trivia Night was featured in The Weekly Times local newspaper on 25 March 2026, providing wonderful exposure for our club and activities.
March was a busy and rewarding month with the joint Rotary Districts 9685 and 9660 Conference, themed “Together for Tomorrow”, held in Newcastle on 20–21 March 2026. The conference weekend was both engaging and informative, with strong collaboration between the two districts. It was also a pleasure to finally meet our partner club, Rotary Club of Inverell, who generously sponsored our DigIT Project, enabling regional students to visit Sydney.
The conference commenced with a cocktail party on Friday evening, followed by a full-day program on Saturday. Highlights included the Showcase at Newcastle City Hall, inspirational guest speakers at the theatre, and excellent entertainment throughout the day. I was also honoured to receive the Female Best Dressed Award.
Continuing our engagement with Harmony Week, I attended the Premier’s Harmony Dinner on 26 March 2026 at the ICC Sydney. It was a privilege to meet Community Hero Ahmed Al Ahmed and NSW Premier Chris Minns at this significant event celebrating diversity and inclusion.
