I hope you are all staying well in this lockdown time as this letter comes from the North Ryde COVID bunker!
Many thanks are due to Rob Wilkinson for arranging a very enlightening talk from Mario Millo and Jim Towers about their past life in the Australian (and International) music scene. This brought back some fun memories for Bernie and me. I also noted this from our club members and friends. It was interesting to hear of all the people they have worked with over all those years.
It was also lovely to have Trisha Chari join us. Our club is part sponsoring Trisha to the National Youth Science Forum to be held in Canberra in early 2022.
At this stage our Change-over dinner which had been re-scheduled to 23 July 2021 at Basil’s Restaurant, Delhi Road at North Ryde is on hold until this COVID19 outbreak eases or hopefully disappears. Remember, we will need to keep our fingers and toes crossed. If there is any news, this will be advised.
Our Rotary DG – Lindsay May – was due to visit us on 30 July 2021 at Dunmore Lang College for a nice hot breakfast (at $20 per head) and a game of Heads or Tails. This too has been postponed. Watch this space.
Please be reminded to complete and return the Member Survey, to help guide us through the next year and beyond.
This Friday the guest speaker is:
Bob Aitken AM from the Rotary Club of the Lower Blue Mountains. Bob will be speaking about 'From Typewriters to Twitter'
