Dear Fellow Club Members and Friends,

With nearly the end of September, the main topics at our Board meeting last week were planning our activities up to the end of the year.

The first ever Virtual Carols online will replace Carols on the Common this year due to COVID19. Our joint committee team meetings with Macquarie Park club have started in a good spirit and the development is progressing well. Big thanks to Roseanna Gallo for her work on the program and in contacting sponsors.

Last Friday was a joyful night for our club with our social dinner at Basil’s Seafood restaurant where we will have our club annual celebration dinner next month on the World Polio Day.

Some members including myself were delighted to join the Virtual Trivia night run by Upper Blue Mountain Sunrise Club. What an exciting and competitive game with 17 teams and 82 attendees to raise fund for a homelessness project in the Blue Mountains. Even though, we did not win, we learnt a lot.

Thanks Sandeep for setting up with a big screen and Bernie for being our team button presser. It is a lot of fun and laugh for the evening. New term called Kahoot!

My quote for this week: Life offers you so many doors, it is up to you which to open and which one to close.

The next scheduled Club Zoom meeting is this Friday 2nd October 2020 with our guest speaker – Scott Nargar, Hyundai Motor Australia. Tune in to learn all about the cars of the future.
