Morning Tea Picnic at Blenheim Park
A morning tea picnic at Blenheim Park was held on Saturday 13 June. The weather was just right for the event. It was lovely to see so many members, partners and families attend. We hope there will be more face-to-face get togethers now the restrictions are starting to ease. Thank you to Mandy Van and Bernie Mason for the excellent photos! More photos are in the photo album section of this bulletin.

Social Dinner at Basils Seafood Restaurant 26 June 2020
Dear Fellow Club Members,

As you will be aware we had planned on having our Rotary Club Changeover Celebration Dinner at Basil’s Restaurant on Friday 26 June. But due to COVID - 19 we have had to cancel this event.
However, to support Tim at Basil’s, and with the restrictions easing from the 1st June, we are organising a club social dinner at Basil’s on Friday 26 June, starting at 7pm.
We will be in a seperate room to the main dinning room, and Tim will arrange the seating, taking into account the Physical Distancing requirements at that time. We are hoping that between 10 and 20 people will be able to attend the dinner. The dinner is for club members and partners.

Please see attached the ‘Menu’ that Tim has provided for our dinner. Drinks can be purchased separately.

Could you please let me know if you will be able to attend and the number of people attending, i.e. just you (1), you and a partner (2).
So, Friday 26 June at 7pm.
Have a look at the attached Menu and make your choice on the night.
Buy your own drinks.
How many attending.
Please let me know by Friday, 12 June, if are able to attend?
If you have any questions please contact me, on 0426230458
Thank you and stay well,
Garry Maloney

Centenary of Rotary In Australia

Rotary’s Centenary is a time of celebration!  It Is a time to reflect on our past, and take pride in all that has been achieved.  It is a time we play our part in the history of Rotary.

Our centenary is also the time to lay the foundations for our future, as we still have much to do.  The key project in our centenary year will focus on stopping the one in 16 children who die in 9 Pacific nations before the age of five.

We invite you to join Rotarians across Australia on 10th July for virtual fellowship, as well as meet our R100 Centenary Ambassadors, the Governor General and Mrs Hurley, as they launch our national centenary campaign.  By joining us, you will witness the “Passing the Baton” ceremony.  The baton that will carry the symbols of our centenary and will travel far and wide across Rotary clubs and Districts.

We wanted to take the opportunity of sharing with you the video that our Ambassadors have provided and you are welcome to share this with your Districts and Clubs. In fact we would encourage you to do so.

We ask for your support in helping us raise funds for our R100 Centenary project, "Rotary Give Every Child a Future"; saving young lives in Pacific nations.

Please expect registration details on how you can join within the next week.

We look forward to you joining in and making your mark on history!

Kind regards,

Garry Browne
