Dear Fellow Rotarian,

Please find attached a copy of our latest newsletter, we are grateful for your interest and support.

Since the newsletter was produced we at Disaster Aid Australia/Disaster Aid International wish to share our sad news that one of our Founders and Current Chair David Langworthy has decided to retire from Disaster Aid Australia and we pass on the following message from David.

“Farewell to all my Rotary friends and all DAA supporters.

Today I start a new adventure in life, at the age of 71 and after 15 years involvement with DAA I retire.

I had advised the board that I would be retiring when I turned 70, now 18 months past my 70th Birthday I am retired.

I thank you all for your support over the past 15 years and leave wishing DAA and you all every success.

Best regards David Langworthy”

I am sure that all who knew David would agree with the Board’s view that David has been a major reason for the growing influence that DAA has achieved and wish David well is his well-deserved retirement.

Currently Peter Falkner has taken on the role of Acting Chair while a review of the organization, and the board is underway.

We will advise all supporters of any changes that will be made in the New Year.

In the meantime DAA will be continuing with the current projects including providing ‘Smart Aid’ to communities affected by the ‘Sulawesi Earthquake/Tsunami Response’ and it’s ‘Safe Water for Every Child’ projects.

Regards,

The Disaster Aid Australia Board
