The Centre for Emotional Health Free Webinar for Parents, Carers and Professionals: "What is anxiety and how can you help primary school age children manage it?" 28 April at 6pm
Please Note the Change of Date

Over the past few weeks, the Centre for Emotional Health has been overwhelmed with requests to learn more about anxiety in children.  As part of our community outreach, we have decided to host a free webinar for parents, carers and professionals to learn more about how to manage anxiety in primary school aged children.

Our Director of Online Programs at the CEH, Dr Lauren McLellan, will lead a one-hour webinar titled "What is anxiety and how can you help primary school age children manage it?" on Thursday 28 April at 6pm (AEST, Sydney, Australia).
We invite you and your school community to join us!

Dr McLellan is a practicing clinical psychologist as well as a senior lecturer and researcher within the Faculty of Medicine, Health & Human Sciences at Macquarie University.  Her research aims to use technology as a way to increase access to effective treatments for anxious youth, especially for those in rural and remote communities.  Her passion to research in this particular area is so that more young people can live emotionally healthy lives.

We ask you to share this email with families within your school community who may benefit from this webinar.  Register here for our 6pm (AEST, Sydney, Australia) start, now on Thursday 28th April, 2022.

Dr McLellan is excited to share with you her knowledge and experience not only from a practicing clinical psychologist's perspective, but also as a researcher and a parent.

The webinar will also be streamed live on our CEH Facebook page!
Warm regards,
CEH Team

Did you know anxiety and related emotional health issues are increasingly common?
These issues affect not only adults, but are sadly experienced by more and more children and adolescents each year.  Join our webinar on the 28th April to learn more about the ways to help recognise and manage your child's anxiety as Dr McLellan shares her research findings with you.

The Centre for Emotional Health is committed to the use of technology as a way to break down the barrier of access to effective treatments.  We have developed the Cool Kids Online program, adapted from the world-renowned Cool Kids Anxiety Program to improve outcomes for those unable to access in-person treatments.
