Car Boot Sale

Hot on the heels of our Fun Run, the Car Boot Sale last Saturday also had its moments.  But just about everyone (who was not otherwise overseas) in the Club made a contribution.  From David and Gwen battling the madding crowd to secure an advantageous (and shady) position to Annette helping to load the ute from Kennards Storage - and everyone else who wheeled and dealed on the stall.  I dips me lid to you all.  Thanks to Pat who had the idea, got the goods, priced then and set up the roster and to Maggie who secured the Kennards Storage facility.  A special mention needs to be made of New Horizon's Garry Pearce without whose assistance the day would not have gone as smoothly as it did.

Our erstwhile treasurer had a mental block when announcing the takings on the day.  It was not the modest $387.80 he initially broadcast, but the real figure was the more impressive $502.80.   Well Done everyone.
