Host a Meal for International Projects - High Tea Success

 

There were 14 women at the High Tea organised by Annette Billington, Ann Fitzgibbon, Pat Perrin and Bev Elliot. The guest were made up of friends, neighbours and Rotarians. The High Tea was a step back  in time with fine bone china cups and saucers, silver cake forks and spoons, lace and embroidered table cloths, fine linen table napkins and crystal champagne glasses. The guests were greeted with a glass of rose sparkling wine (donated by a Rotarian) as an icebreaker and then served with food and tea (also donated) including:

Guests were asked to sit with someone that they did not know - what a success! The conversations were prolific. Maggie gave a presentation about the project of computers into Vanuatu, which contributed to the donations and the conversations. Guests were asked to donate $25, however takings far exceeded that with a final tally of $540 or about $40 per person. Overall, a terrific contribution to International Projects.
