Pat Perrin receives Community Award at October Celebratory Dinner
Pat Perrin - In Recognition of your generosity and support to the North Ryde Community
Those who choose nursing as a career naturally have a caring and compassionate approach to living their life.
To develop that career and specialise in aged care shows someone with a true understanding of people, their situation and a desire to honour their life and end of life with dignity and grace.
To raise two daughters and open yourself up for love a second time shows someone with a strength of character and faith in others, for others and the potential for more.
Theodore Roosevelt said “Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind” … and our Pat Perrin is proof of this. Friend and fellow Rotarian, Phil Isaacs, said “I cannot think of a more deserving person to receive a Community Award than Pat. Whether in Rotary, the Church or her neighbourhood, Pat is a wonder for the Community”.
Pat intrinsically sees a need and takes responsibility to do something to help. She makes others feel valued and has always come up with a plan to give support, relief or tangible assistance to ease whatever burden someone may be facing, or just make things better for all of us. And she rallies troops to help her make things happen … who has ever been able to say no to Pat Perrin?
Her personal values of integrity, honesty and purpose are portrayed in her pursuit of possibilities and her need to leave things better than she found them.
Pat has been a driving force in empowering others, is generous beyond compare in donation of time and deeds and giving and takes personal responsibility to make things happen. For making things better.
