Thanks from Polio Australia

As part of our disbursements at the end of The Financial Year, The Club gave Polio Australia $500.

 

We have received a thank you in the form of a certificate that shows what might be one of the earliest ever recorded instances of polio. The illustration is of an Egyptian stela – possibly a gravestone – that shows a man with a deformed right foot and carrying a walking stick. 

Anyway, the Club’s donation has been appreciated.
